Dual Pricing
Dual pricing is where a Buildings and Contents insurer charges its existing clients more money than it does to its new clients for the same level of cover.
Each year insurers put up their existing customers’ monthly cost because they can. This does not benefit you as their client, it just costs you more money.
Our aim is simply to provide you with at least the same level of cover that you have now at a reduced monthly cost. We will then review your cover on a yearly basis to make sure that the cover you have is still the best we can provide you. We will only use recognised providers with a high ranked level of service. There is no point in taking out insurance if it does not do what you need it to when the worst happens.
When people visit a price comparison website do they actually get the quote that they want?
When they have finally managed to get the excess to the correct level and the other benefits that they wanted added are they still looking at the best policy?
Cost Factors
There are many factors that go into deciding which provider will offer you the most competitive quote. For example, your postcode, style of property, claims experience, valuables, age, smoking status, number of children, (as examples) can all be factors in the monthly charge. Buildings and Contents Policies are provided in two basic formats for quotation purposes. The most common version is commonly known as a block policy. This is where the sum assured for the buildings and the contents is predetermined by the insurer. The alternative option is where the sum assured is specified by the homeowner. It is also possible to obtain a combination of these types of policies from some insurers. This means you only specify the buildings or contents amount within the policy.
Our Service
We will take the time to find out what cover you want and need and then explore the various options for you. When we have finished our research we will provide you with a list of provider quotations from insurance sources that you will not be able to approach directly or through the comparison websites.
